Text: In New Orleans a volunteer company of professional cardsharps, pretending to serve the Confederate cause, was known as the Wilson Rangers. When ordered out to drill, they galloped to the back of the city where the commanding officer issued the order: "Dismount! Hitch horse! March! Hunt shade! Begin playing!"
