Judge James Trimble of Farmerville was my great-grandfather. I have, or had, a picture of him in uniform. It looks like Confederate to me - ie., in shade of lighter gray, not a darker blue. Of course, the photo was in black-and-white [chiaroscuro is, I think, the technical term]. This is from memory because my cousin has the family album now. If you want further proof, or discussion, let me know. I will refer you to my cousin's wife, who is the family historian and has the album. I don't know her e-mail off hand. (In fact, I use e-mail about 1 time every year or two, and am happy for the freedom from it since I "quit". However, this is an exception, and I do my annual check to see if you reply.)
