Drive south on I-49 and follow the signs to Mansfield State Commitive Area. It is about a 45 min. drive. That will be the closest area. From there you can drive down HWY 174 to Pleasant Hill. There`s not much there, but there are historical markers and a cul-de-sac with several markers beside the highway. From P-Hill you can make the loop and get back on I-49 to go back to Shreveport. To may recollection there is not too much in Shreveport except "Fort Humbug", and that is where the National Guard Armory is. Nothing to see there but a marker. I hope that helps.
