Taylor Hospital and Surgeons

I would appreciate any assistance available relative to "Taylor Hospital" (Taylor's Hospital) and the Surgeons who staffed it from 1862 to 1865(?). I have located 70-80 mentions of Taylor Hospital in Booth, with it being located in Alexandria in 1863 and Jefferson, TX in mid-April 1864. I also found a hand written Taylor Hospital patient release form signed by three physicians in the Tulane Library Manuscripts Section. At this point I am assuming that it was the hospital attached to General Taylor's command in 1862-64 and citations that I have found suggest that it continued to be called Taylor Hospital even after General Taylor's removal from command by General Smith. The available information is very limited and I have not been able to access records at Jackson Barracks with its closure since Katrina.

My great great grandfather was Albert Evan Cassady, a physician who enlisted in Co E of the 2nd Louisiana Cavalry (along with 7 relatives) as a private, who was assigned to the Trans-Mississippi Medical department in late 1862 or early 1863 (Booth). La. pension records indicate that he may have served as an Asst Surgeon and Surgeon at Taylor Hospital until late 1864. Any information on the Hospital, its location(s), and staff would be greatly appreciated.
