Information on La. Units in Civil War

I have been seeking information on Captain Joseph H. Dale for many years, most to no avail. If anyone has any info on him that is not in Booths or Arts La. Units, my family and I would be eternally grateful ( he was our family hero and we do not even know where he was buried, other than what the New Orleans papers related about his death in Aug. of 1880).

enlisted in June,61 private 1st La. Special Batt. (Wheats) Co. D Catahoula Guerrillas June/61 - Nov./61 promoted to 2nd Lt.

Catahoula Guerrillas transfered to 7th La. Inf. Batt. as Co. B Nov./61 - May 31/62

Catahoula Guerrillas transfered to Regiment of La. Zouaves and Chasseurs as Co. H May/62 - July/62

Catahoula Guerrillas transfered to 15th La. Infantry as Co. I Joseph Dale was captured at Battle of Cedar Creek, he was a Captain and Commander of his Co. by this time. He was wounded three times, most serious at 2nd Manassas. Died at charity hospital on Aug.1, 1880'
