Thanks very much, Art. I just knew I had Capt. Simmons identified. Any other ideas? This would have been the day after Port Gibson as the Rebs were fleeing from Grant who had just come through Port Gibson. The Ingrahams were at Willow Springs - north of Port Gibson and on the road to Vicksburg - actually living near the crossroad to Grand Gulf , as well.
