Our board's own, Steve Mayeux, will be speaking to the Civil War Round Table of Central Louisiana tomorrow night (Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009) at 6 PM at the Pineville Main Street Community Center (708 Main Street, Pineville) Steve is the author of "Earthen Walls, Iron Men: Fort DeRussy, Louisiana and the Defense of Red River". His subject will be "Finley Anderson's Alexandria". Anderson was a captured Yankee newspaperman imprisoned for a short time in Alexandria. The public is welcome. First time visitors each year are always free.
