Due to an acute illness, Dr. Slay of Vicksburg National Military Park will not be able to speak to the Civil War Round Table of Central Louisiana tonight at 6 PM (Main Street Community Center, 708 Main Street, Pineville). Fortunately, Dr. Chip McGimsey of the LA. Division of Archaeology volunteered to step in and give a presentation on "Excavation of Selected Civil War Battle Sites in South Louisiana". This is a great program and I encourage all organized groups to try and book Dr. McGimsey and this program. Dr. Slay has asked to be scheduled during our next campaign season so please keep posted for his new date.
