Re: D.M Haynes 12th Louisiana infantry

Mike, You are right about that court house! It is beautiful. It looks like it came right out of the Civil War era. I have a friend in Homer that owns a resturant. I go over there a few times a year but I have never been inside the court house. I work just down the road in Minden.

My grandfather had an uncle named Ben D. Wilson that lived in Caliborne parish in the late 1800's and early 1900's. My grandfathers parents died in Mississippi and he came to live with the Wilsons. They had moved to LA from Miss probably in the late 1800's. We have always heard that Ben Wilson and his family moved to Texas sometime in the early 1920's. However he and his wife are buried at Spring Branch Cemetery here in Columbia county AR not 3 miles from my house. This Cemetery is just a mile from the LA state line. I wonder if my Wilson kinfolks are related to yours?
