For any of you high school or college students using the Internet to do research for you Civil War social studies projects, please be aware that a lot of the information you will find is inaccurate. For example, the Wikipedia article on the "Red River Campaign" is full of misinformation. The generalities are fine, but as far as details go, some of the items leave you scratching your head and wondering "Where did that come from?" So, just be aware of what you're getting. The stuff you'll find is probably great for a school project, especially if your teacher is not particularly up on the subject, but you want to be aware when you're dishing out garbage, just in case you get called on it.
