Being a teacher myself, its even easier than that. Simply read over a project and if you think something is a little fishy (wording is odd which is a result of a lot of copy and paste) OR if you find words they have no business using (ie, "Louis XIV sought the aggrandizement of his empire...") all you have to do is copy and paste that particular sentence in Google...and you are suddnely looking at the website where they got their paper. Its been very effective for several years :).

I totally agree with the lack of GOOD research material on the Civil War. Its just another reason why I've started work on my blog. Its a slow, small start but will get there soon enough.
