I'm currently in the process of researching the 6th Louisiana Infantry (in particular Company D)and have hit a road block in which any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Although the 6th Louisiana is well known (and documented) for their service in the ANV, I'm trying to locate information pertaining to their clothing during their regimental organizing at Camp Moore, LA in May-June of 1861. Co. D is from Tensas Parish while the majority of the other companies that were assigned to the regiment hailed from the southeast portion of the state.
