My gggrand dad helped form and supply this company. Captain John M. Bateman. He survived the war as a Major and was at
the final surrender of vicksburg. With what was left of his men. His commander during the war was Winchester Hall.
Batemans Island is named after him to this day. I would like to hear from a family member from this unit. I have all the information
from the Young Sanders Center. Sanders relation served with this unit I under stand. Thank you for any help.
