I have two ancestors that were at Mansfield. (KIA) John W. Conner and his brother (WIA) Robert T. Conner. Now my problem; originally John W. enlisted with the Texas 14th Cav. and Robert T. enlisted with the 1st Texas Inf. I obtained there confederate records from Footnote.com and John W. was only two pages long and then nothing. Robert T. is twenty pages long and he was wounded at Suffolk,Va. Reported to Gen. Smith. Was wounded at Mansfield,La. Does anyone have any info on my ancestors military units they were with at Mansfield or any other valuable information?
