I need to find a burial record for Hugh Long who died near Monroe La. during the Civil War about the year 1862. He was from Texas and served in the 7th Regiment of Texas Mounted Volunteers. He was taken prisoner at Santa Fe NM. sent to Ft. Levensworth Ks. and then to Camp Douglas Ill. before he was exchanged at Vicksburg Miss. He was reported dead at Monroe La. Can anybody help me to locate this Civil War soldier. Shirley Cutler
