on june 5,2011 beginning at 2:00pm camp moore will have an open house.this is to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the confederate training base of camp moore. the program will begin at 2:00pm. introduction of guest speaker will be given by board member wayne cosby.at 2:15pm,professor charles elliott from southeastern louisian university will speak on louisiana's role in the war. at 2:45 a short ceremony will take place in the camp moore cemetery. refreshments will be available in the museum.
