gravesite of Wm. A. Violette?

I love to do my own research, and I hate to bother other people. I also hate to admit defeat! However, I have tried for over a month to find the gravesite of Wm. A. Violette, who paid for the uniforms of the Violett Guards, Co. K, 6th LA Inf. Vols, in 1861. He died in New Orleans in 1868, aged 56. He was married to Penelope, and his son, Atwood, was an AL cadet who served at Mobile and also fought against one of Wilson's AL raids. He was born in Alexandria, VA, worked for a PA iron company, went to N.O. as their representative, eventually went into business on his own as W.A. Violette & Co., became a successful grocer, owned at least two commercial ships (the W.A. Violette and the Wave), served in N.O. Mayor John. L. Lewis' administration, served on the pre-fall of New Orleans "Committee of Public Safety of the City of New Orleans" (which advised Confederate authorities that N.O. was woefully protected!), was a CS quartermaster at Jackson (MS), and served as an advisor to the "Ladies' Confederate Memorial Association" (which had to drop the word "Confederate" on orders of Phil Sheridan). When he heard that Capt. Louis Lay had been able to equip a New Orleans Confederate company with everything it needed except uniforms, he gave Lay a blank check at a local tailor's shop to get the men uniforms. Capt. Lay and his men re-named their company (hitherto known as the "Quitman Guards") the "Violett Guards" in Wm. A. Violett's honor. Violett's son, Atwood, became a very well-known and very successful businessman and patron of the arts in New York City. All of this, I know about William A. Violett! But I can't find out where this Southern Patriot is buried! If you can help me, please do! Danke im Voraus! (Thanks in advance!) -- Jim Huffman, Violette Guards, Co. K, 6th LA Inf. (PS: Not to glorify me, 'cause I ain't worth glorifying, but in honor of the Violette Guards, I have posted a picture of my humble, not to mention very overweight, self, in the uniform of the Violette Guards, on my facebook page, under my name, "Jim Huffman," guarding the grave of heroic N.O. fireman Irad Ferry, whose namesake volunteer fire company -- Irad Ferry Co. No. 12 -- yielded many members of the Violette Guards CS company)
