John Amos Porter had 2 bros.,George W. and William who served in the 11th Battalion,Louisiana Inf. Their unit fought at the battle of Mansfield. John Amos Porter was on leave, in Mansfield at the time of this battle. I was wondering if anyone has any info. on if he possibly could have fought in that battle, knowing his 2 bros. were going to be in it? Thanks, Lynn
