Been looking at left and right guide markers, and found a number, tho mostly Union related. These are 'flags' that the guides on either end of the line carry so as to keep the regiment aligned with in battleline formation. I found a reference to the 5th Louisiana Battalion have such flags. Does anyone know of other Louisiana Units that might have some, and what they looked like?
Am going to put on flag forum board too, to see if there is info over there.
