There will be a reenactment at Fort Jackson the next to last weekend in April. Baton Rouge will commemorate its battle anniversary with a program at Magnolia Cemetary as well as an exhibit at the Old State Capital and possibly another venue. One of the plantations below Baton Rouge is working on a special symposium which will be announced soon. However, I have not gotten any official news on commemoration of the surrender of New Orleans. When I do, I will post it on here.
