John Rush died of disease On Jan. 22, 1863 in Young's Point, La.. He was reported to have been buried at Vicksburg, but I cannot confirm that. This is our John but the age is wrong, he was listed as 27 when he was really 37. We have been unable to confirm if his kids or his wife ever received his pension. Her name was Rebecca, after 1868 she seems to have vanished. He enlisted Aug. 22, 1862. Can anyone give me any info on this?
