I am looking for some information on Co. G 2nd Louisiana Cavalry in Capt. T.J. Stafford's co., 2nd Lt. David Crockett Paul who was in Co. G 2nd Reg't Louisiana Cavalry by Capt. McWaters.
David Crocket Paul has gotten lost in History, not to many folks in Rapides Parish know of him. He was Sheriff of Rapides Parish from 1872 to 1884 and during this time he was appointed Mayor from 1877 to 1878 and another fellow filled in for him as Sheriff during 1872 1878.
His sister ( Sidney Paul ) married my Great Grandfather, John H. Carruth who was a Baptist Minster.
