The Clinton Cemetery in Clinton, Mississippi is a very old and a very well-kept cemetery. I have been to this cemetery and the marker at the entrance to the cemetery states that there are 63 Confederate soldiers buried there. See the link below. If you drive to the back of the cemetery you will see a flagpole, and beside the flagpole there is a monument which was placed there in 1928 by the Mississippi College Rifles Chapter of the UDC in memory of the Confederate soldiers who are buried there. Just a few steps away from the monument there is a plaque which states that a tree was planted there in their honor, and that these Confederate soldiers are known only to God.
