I checked the index of Military Images magazine, and they had printed images of two LA 12th Infantry soldiers. I had to search, finding the Morehouse Stars were Company F. I pulled my copies of the magazine, but no luck for you.

The images MI published were of Pvt. Reuben Nations of Co.I, and Pvt Amasa Going of E. The uniforms couldn't be much more dissimilar! Nations wears a dark blue or black jacket with cloth epaulettes, and an equally dark slouch. Going wore a gray shell jacket without epaulettes, gray pants and a gray kepi.
