The initials G K S are a mystery to me.

The 'S' could stand for the Saunders' Factory Hospital, the 'G & K' might refer to wards.

I'd suggest checking similar stones to see if similar type initials are found.

Also, the local SCV Chapter might have a handle on the meaning.
