The book titled Louie DeVille I, called FILO, and his wife Marie J. Johnson and Their Descendants by Odell E. DeVille can be found at the Library of Congress Genealogical Society (Washington D.C.), Archives of Louisiana (Baton Rouge, La.), Alexandria Genealogy Society (Alexandria, La.) and Genealogy Section of the Latter Day Saints (Salt Lake City, Utah). This genealogy book will offer you no civil war history referencing Benoit Johnson other than the one I previously quoted (p. 266). He is referenced on p. 125 as having preached a sermon at the home of Deneige Johnson DeVille (my great grandmother) in 1888 (they were 2nd cousins). If you would like a copy of these two pages, send me your email address & I will send them to you.
