Never located any payments made to anyone...they were ordered to pay before Nov. 22,1864 either in american money or something of subsequent value to widow Guerrin's father or brother- in- law. Nothing concerning Omer Boudreaux seems to have a regular rythm.Now for Bayou Chemise.... 2nd Lt. Numa Pompaneau,1st reg. la. cav. co. k (union) ...perhaps i'm trying to read too much into his reports, or, he simply does not say enough, but, on 3.24.65 Scout from Bayou Beouf to Bayou Chemise ....War of the Rebellion- Pompaneau states he departed Bayou Boeuf, marches one day through the swamps, arriving at the home of Pierre Diegles on Bayou Chemise ,which overlooks a lake into which all c.s.a. traffic must pass. ( i assumed he was within one days march of the town of Bayou Beouf, La.) Pompaneuu finds 2 buried co k uniforms under logs in Diegles back yard and he will leave only stating something to the affect- Diegle is a bad man-....no arrest...Carl Brasseaux had an article in which he claimed Diegles home near Brashear City also.Perhaps it is my mistake ,but i was unable to locate Bayou Chemise on any map also and I was trying to locate Chemise by what Pompaneau had stated. Omer Boudreaux...Pompaneau states on 5.27-27.65 Affair at Bayou De large...surprised Boudreaux behind N.J.Terrions place on Bayou De Large...left him in such a manner that he will not bother us again. He was still breathing...Pompaneau also claims to have wounded Sgt. Oscar Hymel,but, Hymel escaped. Hymel was a co k deserter.(Boudreaux surrenderes him self to authorities 5 days later...was he wounded ?) Pompaneau and the 1st reg. la. cav. co k spend much of 1865 (12.1864-5.1865) searching for 11 co k deserters which fell into Omer Boudreaux's ranks. many believed they were led to the farmlands of Acadiana by the underground railroad Boudreaux, Diegles and other's were running...Boudreaux never makes it to the Concord, New Hampshire State Prison...I have located an 1860 Terrebonne census which states 37 523 514 Omer Boudreaux 16 m la.I have located Paul Valentine Boudreaux b.1.13.1792 Ascension parish 2nd marriage Carmelite Scholastique Gautreaux from Plattenville,la.... from this union one of the children was Emile Homer Boudreaux b.11.11.1843 Thibodeaux,la.. I also located a Emile Boudreaux b.1843-1909 buried at Napoleonville,La. but he was in the 2nd la. cav. co h (whittington's co.) birthdays close,but no cigar...do not know if any of this information is correct concerning Omer Boudreaux.Exactly who was Numa Pompaneau...did he have any ties to the Boudreaux/Diegle families ?
