my gg grandfather served with gober's regiment in east la. and southwest ms during the last two years of war. my ggg uncle, a courier with miles' legion, was shot off his horse at fight at plains store in may 1863 and given succor by a farmer family. the book, the plains store rangers, is much appreciated.
