Alan & George,
They are presented with a flag by Miss M. R. Pickings on the same
day and at the same location that the Armstrong Guards receive one.
The Armstrong Guards become Co. A, 14th La. Inf. Regt.
There is a 2nd Lieut "Penny" in Co. F of the 14th, but that company
is still in New Orleans at the time of the presentation and they go by
a different name.
The presentations took place at Richmond, La. on June 11, 1861.

Nice descriptions of both flags in article.
Its been a real puzzle for me. Any help appreciated.
