Ken,
I checked the Adjutant Generals Report up to 1 July 1861 and there is no mention of the Waterproof Guards ever being sent to Camp Moore. I had copied that at State Archives when researching the 8th but stopped at July. This all comes about just after the last two weeks of May 61 when 12-month companies were being disbanded, etc. so they may have gotten word and done just that, as did the United Guards of Assumption/Ascension and also the Rapides Invincibles of Rapides. Eventually both reformed as did other companies disbanded at Camp Moore and some did not. There is an article in the July 4, 1861 issue of the Daily True Delta written by a member of the Armstrong Guards that does not mention them either. He does, however mention a Company A and Company B of unknown regiment as well as several Captains that appear to be from his area. Do you know who the Captain of this company was?
