Friday, Bill and I will be researching the Taylor papers at Tulane. Saturday morning I plan to head up to the Melville/Bayou Rouge area. I have been through areas on both sides of the Atchafalaya about 5 years ago before the map showing the Rebel Camp was found. At the time, I thought Morgan's Ferry was located at Melville near where the highway 10 ferry use to be. Pictures of documented locations where Likens' 35th Tx Cavalry operated are used in a slide show presentation at SCV camps.
