Please understand that this collection of letters which you been digitized is a work in progress. During a recent visit to Tulane University we were told the Civil War diary of Simon M Bott who served in Company E of the 120th Ohio Volunteer Infantry was currently being digitized so was unavailable for viewing in the manuscripts room at Jones Hall. Since this soldier was at Fort St. Philip, Morganza, Baton Rouge and New Orleans it will be interesting to see his descriptions of those battles and forts.
