Re: 3rd Louisian Infantry Images

Hi Alan,
Thank you for your response. I've seen the Currie photo; his descendant sent it to me a couple of years ago and we had great fun superimposing my ancestor's head onto her ancestor's uniformed body. We did this so I could see how my ancestor might have looked in his uniform (they were both in the same regiment) but of course her ancestor was a captain and mine was a private. The "faked" photo is very impressive! (but I was very careful to document the back saying it wasn't real)

I'm very disappointed to hear that more photos have not been found. There is one thing we could all do as a sort of "substitute"; we could start some kind of roster of descendants and post regular photos of our ancestors who were in that regiment? I'm really not that familiar with my ancestor's unit; it seems like the few sources (internet) I've found have conflicting information, or maybe I've just had a hard time comprehending. All the notes I've taken over the years have been buried under, in this computer room.

If anybody has set up an online site for this regiment, I would be happy to scan photos of my ancestor for it.
