Looking for information on the garrison of Ft St Philip who surrendered and then went into the Union Army. I am writing a regimental on the 9th Connecticut Irish Infantry and found there was a Sgt from Co K 21st La Infantry captured at Ft St Philip who went into the 9th Connecticut rising to 1st Lt by wars end I am trying to find out if this mans name was John Bolger.
