The Louisiana 19th Cavalry Battalion under Col. A. J. McNeil later evolved into the 4th Louisiana Cavalry Regiment. I have a person looking for information on a Bowie knife that may have been presented to Col. A. J. McNeil. The knife has the Colonel's name and 4th Louisiana Cavalry inscribed on the knife.

Does anyone have any knowledge about a gathering where Col. A. J. McNeil may have been honored by his men or his community after the war?
