Does anyone have any information they'd like to elaborate or share on Colonel Reichard of the 20th Louisina? Here's what I have been able to figure out:
Was an officer in the Hanover military, he served as the consul for Hanover, Prussia and Hesse Darmstadt in New Orleans; he was a cotton exporter out of New Orleans. He died September 7, 1900 and is bured in France somewhere. Shows he commanded a brigade of Louisiana state militia in post war Louisiana. He resigned his militia position in 1881.
That is about all I have found out yet. I'd appreciate any help in digging into Reichard.
