I have found my gr. grandfather's service record but one point of confusion. Michael McGrath is listed in the 1890 Civil War survivors as being in Louisiana 13th Infantry, Company H, but the only other record I have is Co. K, and C. Were the companies combined? Can anyone help me with this?

Also he was "galvanized" and sent out west to fight Indians. Is there a record of those men and where they went?
