Re: Omer Boudreaux

Hi.The details of this murder are as follows: In the town of Labadieville, LA.; On Sept.8, 1864; a guerilla party
(led by Omar BOUDREAUX) murdered C. G.{Claude} GUERIN, a loyal citizen of the United States. Omar's Mother, named as the widow Valentine BOUDREAUX, was forced by the United States Government to pay $102.00 [on behalf of her son's crime] to the destitute widow of C. G. GUERIN.
This info and more on this murder was found in the book
" WAR and The REBELLION" SERIES I - VOL. XLI- PART III - Page 776;Louisiana and the Trans - Mississippi - Correspondence -Union. This book is at the Louisiana State Archives in Baton Rouge, LA.

I have researched and know these facts as Claude [C. G.]GUERIN was my great-great uncle. He was married to Marie Eveline DAVID, my Great-Great Aunt. Her three brothers all served in the Civil War; they are named Trasimond, Treville, And Honore; last name DAVID.
Hope this helps. If you want a xerox e-mail me. Thanks.
