I do not have a listing for a Barney Maxey but have a Nathaniel Maxey in the same company and regiment. He was born April 30, 1835 and died Feb 3, 1907. Could this be a brother or cousin. He is buried in the Lane Memorial Cemetery in Sibley, LA in Webster Parish. Is the Barney short for Barnard and could this be Nathaniel's middle name?
