Stuart, check out www.newspaperarchive.com. They have a 7-day free trial, after which it costs $60/quarter if you go with it. They claim 60.9 million pages on line, over 239 years. I tried it and signed up, although you have to be patient and creative with your search terms. Am working on historical aviation projects and have found stuff that knocked my socks off. You can save pdf's of the original pages....
