Have you run across any references from Missouri CS vets regarding the camel that served at Vicksburg?

Col. Bevier wrote about this animal's death at the Siege of Vicksburg, so I have his material about the beast.

The camel actually belonged to the 43rd MS Infantry, but some Missouri units were brigaded with the 43rd at Vicksburg.
