I just learned that my great-great-grandfather, Henry Thomas Morgan, was a private in the Confederate Army (31st Regiment, Louisiana Infantry). While serving, he wrote a number of letters home to his wife, Ellen, who was back on the farm in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana. We have a transcription of the letters, but I was interested to learn where the originals are today, and to possibly obtain a copy of them.
