There are several references to the Crescent regiment drills. They evidently marched in the streets of NOs.

I read a book on Shiloh a while back. I do not recall the name or author, but I need to find it and buy it. The author details the train ride up to Corinth. It was specific as to units etc.

Like I said, my ancester did not make it to Corinth. I have since looked in the Picayune- He was not listed as missing, dead or wounded.

I would like to find some primary sources on this regiment. Perhaps on my next trip to NO.
