Re: Dr. Gary Joiner book signings

Dear Dr. Joiner
I attended the Desoto Parish historical society and enjoyed your presentation very much. In your book ...Mud to Drink, you state in a footnote that Willie Marshall died
and his body was returned to Lands End Plantation for burial. Booth says that it was William M. Marshall who died in New Orleans and according to the census of 1860 Wiliam M. Marshall and Benjamin Marshall are the sons of John J Marshall not Henry Marshall. Did both of these families of Marshalls live at Lands End? I am confused and would like some clarification. Thanks. I hope you have time to reply. Colleen Pitre
