Better check with Port Hudson about the date. Although it's usually the last weekend in March, it was on a different weekend just three or so years ago. You can always call Greg Potts or any of the rangers at the Park and they can tell you. They also have a demonstration the first Sunday of every month that's pretty interesting, although with only a few reenactors in attendance then.
