Louisiana Soldier Wounded at Jonesborough

Hello list,
Where would a soldier in the 4th Louisiana Infantry be sent after being "severely wounded in the right thigh" at the Battle of Jonesborough? It does not appear that he went on with the Army of Tenessee to Franklin.
He was present at Selma, Alabama at the surrender (I think the 4th Louisiana surrendered at North Carolina). He was also listed as being a member of Wingfield's 3rd Louisiana Cavalry, Company E, but I am unsure if this was right after Shiloh or after recovering from Jonesborough. Besides, I think Wingfield's Unit surrendered at Meridian, Mississippi.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
