I'm not sure if I have information that might help. I have a GGGrand Uncle Oscar Thomas SHEPPARD. Oscar Thomas died in New Orleans of...I belive Yellow fever. I don't have my genealogy papers with me right now. Oscar served in the Spanish American war.....but I don't think he served in the Civil War. He was born in England but immigrated to Marrieta Ohio with his mother and brother and sister in the late 1820s. Does this sound like it might be a match. I have more info at home and will look at it this weekend.
