Thanks for the response. I got the dates from Ancestry.com. I started with my great grandfather Adam Carriere and went back from there. I followed the family chart from there(my grandmother who was one of 20-thats right-20 children is listed there). His father was Louis Carriere from St Landry Parish. He married after the war which makes me think this is him. I have three other great-great-great grandfathers that served in the 18th. It seem that many men from the Little Teche area served in this unit. Thanks
