There is a bibliography of sources in my book on Louisiana units. I do not have them in my library so am unsure what any of them say about the engagement. Probably the best one to consult would be William Miller Owen's "In Camp and Battle with the Washington Artillery of New Orleans" (Boston, 1885). There is a fairly recent reprint of it if memory serves. I am away from home at present so cannot be more precise.
