I knew that, but had forgotten over the years. Thanks for the reminder. When you have a cemetery with over 6000 graves, it is sometimes hard to determine who to research next. I have a book (out of print) "River Capitol, An Illustrated History of Baton Rouge", by Mark T. Carleton, published in 1981, which has a fantastic photo of Leon during his tenure as mayor of Baton Rouge. Also, "Portraits of Conflict, A Photographic History of Louisiana in the Civil War" by Carl Moneyhon and Bobby Roberts, published in 1990, showing him in uniform (this photo is from the Jastremski papers at LSU).
